Eddie's Football Blog

A bizarre look at the world of football, since 2008

About

Eddie’s Football Blog is a satirical footy blog for people tired of seeing the same football news regurgitated over and over again, and are craving something a bit different.

At this point it is also necessary to state that all articles, names and quotes on this site are ficticious.

History

Started back in July 2008, Eddie’s Football Blog began life as a slightly more serious entity – a traditional fan blog of sorts, which tediously reviewed ex-players and basically gave its author the perfect tool for a good old rant.

The blog then went down a less serious route – which for a while involved making up bizarre stories and drawing MS Paint pictures of Avram Grant depicted as Baron Silas Greenback. Hence the ‘logo’.

Eddie’s Football Blog now concentrates on having a laugh/dig at whatever is going on in the world of football. With all the same regurgitated stories plaguing the internet, EFB is a place to visit a couple of times a week, have a giggle and then GET BACK TO WORK! 🙂

    Welcome to Eddie’s Football Blog!

This blog is all about football – the beautiful game. I’m from London, England, and am a Tottenham Hotspur fan. However, fans of all teams are welcome here. I appreciate skillful, fast, attacking football, and there are so many top teams and players out there playing in exactly this way.

You’re more thank likely to have stumbled accross this blog by accident, or I’ve just told you about it. However it is that you got here, I hope that my musings are thought provoking, create a good deal of banter, and occasionally make some sense!

  2. welcome to blog land. Make sure you press the eject button on the panel at the back of your head.

Schweinsteiger is a sell-out, but unfortunately he isn’t the first, nor is going to be the last amongst footballers. He will get more opportunities to make a fool of himself now, with some big club from England or Italy likely to buy him….

Anyway, enjoy your writing, particularly the Rubles Everywhere, But Where’s The Soul? piece.

We have this football website which basically tries to put together interesting perspectives from intelligent football followers from around the world, it is called http://www.throughthelegs.com.

Would be great if you can allow us to cross post this entry on our site, obviously with your byline and other due credit to you…..

It is a non-profit site, constructed purely out of love for football.

The idea behind the whole thing is that there is a huge, massive amount of interest in world football where we are based i.e. the Indian Subcontinent and South East Asia, so it would be great if readers here get an exposure to what serious football followers around the world are thinking and have to say, will also be cool if they also get introduced to you and your site….

Hope you are ok with this…thanks….and keep up the lovely writing 🙂
